CURBSIDE PICKUP
We are pleased to announce that we are providing Curbside Pickup services as of June 8, 2020.
Please fill out this form to let us know what materials you are interested in. Once submitted, the Elmont Library staff will do our best to fulfill your request. We will be in contact to schedule a pickup time that works best for you.
You can request specific titles, or let a librarian make recommendations based on your preferences.
Materials will be placed in a plastic bag and checked out to your account prior to your arrival. Come at your designated pickup time, and collect your materials from the front of the library building. At pickup, simply show your library card to ensure that you are provided with the correct materials.
Requests can also be made by phone at 516-354-5280, or you can pick up a physical request form from the front of the building.
In order to ensure the safety of both the staff and the patrons, all library materials will be quarantined for a minimum of 72 hours after they have been returned. This means that, even after you have returned an item, it may still show as checked out on your record for several days. No fines will be accrued during this time.
A large portion of our collection may be currently checked out or in quarantine, and the Nassau Library System’s inter-library loan service is currently suspended, so we will do our best to fulfill your request or offer acceptable alternatives.
